Our approach is tailored to your concerns and goals. We provide short-term symptom and problem resolution therapy as well as longer term therapy for the deeper and more complex problems. A variety of methods may be used in combination with counseling, including: cognitive-behavioral, relaxation training, and hypnosis.
A brief initial telephone consultation will establish whether what you are looking for is a good fit with the services of one of our providers.
The initial consultation is an opportunity for you and the psychologist to arrive at a working understanding of your concerns and a general strategy for proceeding. The specific strategy should be agreed upon by the end of the third session. By that point, you should have a good sense of whether it makes sense to continue.
We pride ourselves in only treating problems for which we are trained and experienced. Often, when we do not provide the service you need we can help you find a provider in the community with the specialty and expertise you need.
